Earlier this month
I set out on a new adventure discovering South East Asia.
My first stop is Chiang Mai and the incredible Empress Hotel.
The first Thai experience
I had heard that Thai people were very genuine and friendly people, however, I was still positively amazed when I arrived. The Empress Hotel is one of those, that provide with a complete experience, beginning right when you enter the building.
One of the first things you notice it a combination of modern architecture and traditional Thai style. I personally loved all the gold details that can give a royal feeling to anything.
Start the day with an
finish with a feast.
At the Empress Hotel breakfast is held in a spacious, bright dining room. The large windows offer a view on the multitude of exotic plants in front, letting you start your day with tropical vibes. You can choose whatever you like, starting from french toasts, finishing even with some fried noodles, if you really want to do it Thai style. All of this accompanied by a large variety of fruits and vegetables, to make sure you get the daily dose of vitamins.
When the sun goes down...
When the sun goes down you can treat yourself with an incredible feast. I got to attend one of them and what I can be sure of is that I have never experienced anything like that in my life.
Let's start with the fact that I've never attended a 7-course dinner. As you may probably guess, in the middle of it I was already pretty full, however, I couldn't skip anything, because every single meal looked way too delicious.
Besides a few adorable surprises between the courses, my absolute favorite was the dessert plate and a short chocolate message in my mother language. Do you know the feeling when something looks so good you don't want to destroy it?
The landscape of Nothern Thailand has impressed me before I even landed in the city of Chiang Mai.
It's such a pleasure to see a city that beautifully keeps its natural goods and I can undoubtedly say that my obsession with views has been completely satisfied in Empress Hotel. Being able to wake up to an incredible view all over the city was a true blessing.
